AMERICA is 250!!! We are celebrating 250 years of America and 63 years of the Winter Area July Jubilee!
July 3rd and 4th are the dates to save and join in on the celebration. Thursday July 3rd we will start the day off at 12:00 noon. Our food and craft vendors will be set up and ready to serve. At 2pm, the kids’ inflatables will be ready for action and our local musician Jennifer Reisch will be playing in the pavilion from 12-3. We will have the ever-popular Truck & Tractor Pull at 4pm with registration starting at 3pm. Did someone say BED RACES? Yep, we will be bringing back the infamous bed races so start planning now.
Friday July 4th is packed with all the exciting events and activities you would like to do. The day will start with the Winter Public Library’s 2-mile Color Fun Run and 10K race. Your child may want to decorate their bike or wagon for the Kiddie Parade which
will then be followed by the main 4th of July parade. Prizes will be offered for the most patriotic, most beautiful, and most humorous entries.
Our Grand Marshall, Bonnie Hofer will lead the parade route to Doc Smith Park. Businesses, organizations, family units, individuals are all encouraged to have a float in the parade. Have a musical family? How about sharing your talents with everyone by having a musical entry.
Food and craft vendors will be set up waiting for you to join them. Music starts at 1pm with Terry Toner along with Rock N Roll Kids Inflatables. This year we will have a hypnotist entertaining us at 2pm. Bittersweet Farms will be taking folks on a leisurely horse drawn wagon ride throughout the day.
The American Legion will once again have their pie social and bingo. Cornhole enthusiasts, bring your partner and join the tourney at 3pm. We are very excited to announce that the band EMBER will be playing in the pavilion starting at 7pm until fireworks and the one hour after the fireworks are done.
The July Jubilee committee has been working hard to find some top notch entertainment, but that all comes with a price. As most of you know, this is an expensive event and we depend solely on donations, fundraiser raffles, sponsor advertising, small entry fees and beverage sales from the Chamber kiosks to fund it. Please consider making a donation to keep this event top of the line. Every donation is greatly appreciated.
