AMERICA is 250!!! We are celebrating 250 years of America and 63 years of the Winter Area July Jubilee!

July 3rd and 4th are the dates to save and join in on the celebration. Thursday July 3rd we will start the day off at 12:00 noon. Our food and craft vendors will be set up and ready to serve. At 2pm, the kids’ inflatables will be ready for action and our local musician Jennifer Reisch will be playing in the pavilion from 12-3. We will have the ever-popular Truck & Tractor Pull at 4pm with registration starting at 3pm. Did someone say BED RACES? Yep, we will be bringing back the infamous bed races so start planning now.

Friday July 4th is packed with all the exciting events and activities you would like to do. The day will start with the Winter Public Library’s 2-mile Color Fun Run and 10K race. Your child may want to decorate their bike or wagon for the Kiddie Parade which
will then be followed by the main 4th of July parade. Prizes will be offered for the most patriotic, most beautiful, and most humorous entries.

Our Grand Marshall, Bonnie Hofer will lead the parade route to Doc Smith Park. Businesses, organizations, family units, individuals are all encouraged to have a float in the parade. Have a musical family? How about sharing your talents with everyone by having a musical entry.

Food and craft vendors will be set up waiting for you to join them. Music starts at 1pm with Terry Toner along with Rock N Roll Kids Inflatables. This year we will have a hypnotist entertaining us at 2pm. Bittersweet Farms will be taking folks on a leisurely horse drawn wagon ride throughout the day.

The American Legion will once again have their pie social and bingo. Cornhole enthusiasts, bring your partner and join the tourney at 3pm. We are very excited to announce that the band EMBER will be playing in the pavilion starting at 7pm until fireworks and the one hour after the fireworks are done.

The July Jubilee committee has been working hard to find some top notch entertainment, but that all comes with a price. As most of you know, this is an expensive event and we depend solely on donations, fundraiser raffles, sponsor advertising, small entry fees and beverage sales from the Chamber kiosks to fund it. Please consider making a donation to keep this event top of the line. Every donation is greatly appreciated.

It is the time of year where we start preparing for our annual 4th of July celebration. You can now sign up for your advertisement and sponsorship online.  The advertising goes on the poster that we distribute in Sawyer County and beyond. Add in a sponsorship and your name shows up on an individual 2’ x 3’ banner that is displayed in Doc Smith Park, on our website and a shout out on our Facebook page.

Your contribution is what makes this annual event so successful.  It helps reduce costs from the fireworks to the live and musical entertainment to the parade and all the other activities everyone can enjoy.

We are hoping that we can once again count on you to support this annual and fun event. Our online sponsorship form can be found by clicking on the button below.

If you have any questions, suggestions or would like to volunteer please contact Kris Treland (715)558-2796 or Rachel Barnaby (715)492-0002

Our small town of 300 celebrates Independence Day in a BIG way! Festivities on July 4th begin with a 2 mile and 10 K run followed by a Kiddie Parade and Grand Parade on Main Street. After the parade the festivities will continue at Doc Smith Park. We will have craft vendors, kids’ games, inflatables, food vendors, live music, a pie social, live action entertainment, community competitions and a HUGE fireworks display at dusk. This year the celebration will begin early on Friday afternoon July 3rd at Doc Smith Park with Food and Craft Vendors, Kids inflatables, live music and Truck and Tractor pulls.
